đźš« Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) Enforcement in Stone Town Centre |
||
As part of our ongoing commitment to #ProblemSolvingPolicing in Stone Town Centre, local officers—working in partnership with Stafford Borough Council—took action on Thursday 16th October to address repeated breaches of the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO). 🚓 Five Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) of £100 were issued to individuals who ignored the restrictions and drove vehicles through the pedestrianised zone.
A Reminder to All Visitors - We’d like to politely remind everyone visiting Stone and Stafford town centres that there are clear restrictions in place, shown by relevant signage, with regards to :
🚗 Motor vehicles 🚲 Bicycles 🛴 Scooters 🛹 Skateboards ⛸️ Roller skates
These rules are in place to keep our public spaces safe and enjoyable for all.
What is a PSPO? The Public Spaces Protection Order helps tackle persistent issues across Stafford Borough. It can include:
- Restrictions on alcohol consumption in certain areas - Limits on the number of dogs walked at one time - Controls on vehicle access in pedestrian zones
